Rest In Power : Roy "Kenneth Culture" Dayes .

C'est avec une réelle tristesse que nous avons appris le décès du chanteur Roy "Kenneth Culture" Dayes le 19 octobre dernier .

Kenneth Culture avait débuté sa carrière au début des années 70 en formant aux cotés de Joseph Hill & Albert Walker le groupe African Disciples plus connu sous le nom de Culture .

Le trio publiera de 1977 à 1981 de nombreux albums tels que " Two Sevens Clash , Baldhead Bridge , Harder Than The Rest , Africa Stand Alone , Cumbolo , International Herb , More Culture , Trod On " avant de se séparer pendant quelques années .

Le groupe se reformera de 1986 à 1992 pour l'enregistrement des albums " Culture At Work , Culture In Culture , Nuff Crisis , Good Things , Three Sides To My Story , Wings Of a Dove " avant de se séparer définitivement en 1993 .

Durant sa carrière solo le chanteur avait notamment enregistré plusieurs singles (Money , Back Home , Money Girl remix , Pray For Them , I Want To Go Home , Trod On , Praising Jah ...) pour des labels comme " High Note , Gorgon Records , Mister Tipsy , Black Solidarity , Mighty Faith " .

En 2005 Kenneth Culture produira son premier 'album " Still, I've Got Love " enregistré au studio Tuff Gong aux cotés du producteur Ansell Collins avant de publier le projet en 2009 .

Le chanteur avait également publié le 6 septembre 2024 le single " International Herbs " enregistré en collaboration avec Colah Colah pour le label Klangschatz Productions .

: En 2018 le label a publié un deuxième projet “ Methods Of Babylon Riddim “ avec des artistes tels que “ Jah Marnyah , Omar Perry , Lutan Fyah , King Mas , Perfect Giddimani & Stranjah Miller "avant de produire le 10 décembre 2018 le EP " My Roots " du chanteur Droop Lion .

: De 2018 à 2019 le label a également publié plusieurs singles inédits avec des artistes comme " Colah Colah , Abbeh Simeon , Giddian Di Expert , Greg Roy , Fyah George " .

: Le 23 octobre 2020 le label a produit un produit en collaboration avec Sound Guyz & Di Version Band un nouveau one-riddim intitulé " Fire Blaze Riddim " réalisé entre la France , la Belgique , les Etats-Unis et la Jamaïque sur lequel nous retrouverons des artistes tels que " Sizzla Kalonji , Stranjah Miller , Greg Roy , Ras Zacharri , Omar Perry , Ras Chibuzo , Davanna Sweet .

: Le 30 octobre 2020 le label publie également la version Dub du " Fire Blaze Riddim " .

: Le 5 mai 2023,le label a produit le projet " Power To The People Riddim Part I " avec des artistes comme " Lyricson , Jah Marnyah , Anthony John , Perfect Giddimani " .

: Le 2 novembre 2023 Reggae-Unite Records publie le projet " Power To The People Riddim Part II " avec des artistes comme " Omar Perry , Norris Man , King Lorenzo , Dan Gio " .
